Since April 2024, I've served as Social Media Coordinator at Sporcle, the world's largest trivia quiz community. I manage the content calendar in Google Sheets and schedule 14 weekly daily posts via TikTok Studio. I film and edit weekly TikTok videos with an iPhone, Adobe Premiere Pro, and CapCut. I have boosted engagement by 4% over six months through active community engagement—liking, commenting, and answering direct messages. Additionally, I create and schedule 5-10 Canva graphics weekly for Instagram and Facebook using Sprout Social.
Sporcle Quizzes
A core aspect of Sporcle's identity is our website. Through social media, our goal is to drive traffic and encourage engagement. To achieve this goal, we launched a TikTok series where Sporcle employees play quizzes, showcasing the site's fun and interactive experience.
Wiki Hunt
The media team aimed to further engage our audience, so we created a series of challenges based on Wikipedia. This initiative has driven a notable increase in both views and engagement rates.
Original Content
When I joined Sporcle, one of my key objectives was to diversify our content. I aimed to achieve this goal by creating original pieces that still aligned with trivia and the brand's voice. Here are some examples of engaging content that contributed to this effort.
Trendy Content
A key factor in TikTok virality is participating in trends. Before I joined, Sporcle had limited presence in this area, so I focused on leveraging trending content to help us connect with a younger audience.
